Тема: History of British ceremonies.

Основная цель:
Развитие коммуникативных умений, социо-культурной компетенции, приобщения учащихся к культуре, традициям и реалиям страны изучаемого языка, развитие и воспитание понимания у школьников важности изучения английского языка в современном мире и потребности пользоваться им как средством общения.
Методические рекомендации.
Learning to understand the foreign country is not an easy task. Most of us do not usually think of ourselves as people who are different from others and at the same time belong to one beautiful world “The planet Earth”
Students will find that their general know ledge about holidays and traditions will be helpful here. Encourage students to work co- operatively and pool what they know, and to speak as much as possible during the lesson, and to be creative and open- minded in discovering the world.

План урока.
Тема урока: “History of London and British royal ceremonies”
Развитие коммуникативных умений, социо-культурной компетенции, приобщения учащихся к культуре, традициям и реалиям страны изучаемого языка, развитие и воспитание понимания у школьников важности изучения английского языка в современном мире и потребности пользоваться им как средством общения.
Тип урока: урок развитие речи и навыка чтения.
Место данного урока в теме: 5 урок в данной теме.
Метод: комбинированный (словесно-наглядно-практический)
Структура урока
I. Read aloud to the students.
You always select the colors of your life: dark or bright, weak or strong, good or bad/
To the students
After completing the lesson you will
-know more about some ceremonies of London/
-speak about your ideal festival or favorite ceremony
-describe your family traditions.
II Lead in.
1. Discuss in pairs
Students work in pairs, thinking about
Whet holidays they know.
Check answers by asking individuals
2. Ask Students to read the words, and think which of then can use to describe a holiday.
III develop your reading skills.
Students work individually a reading the text and trying to find out the answer.
Which ceremonies have historical roots in Britain?
VI Check answers by asking individuals.
V Divide students into five groups, read the task.
Students work in small groups.
If you wish, give students a minute to look thought the information in this lesson.
As a whole class, students pool the information they can remember about British ceremonies.
VI after the groups report back to the conclusion how many differents holidays and traditions people in the world have got.
VII Home assignment: complete the table.
VIII Marks. Results.
